Ballard City would like to remind residents that City Ordinance 10.12.020 – Items Not Allowed in Right-of-Way has been in effect since July 19, 2016. While this ordinance has been in place for several years, the City will begin consistent enforcement of its provisions effective August 1, 2026.

Request for Proposals (RFP) – Ballard City Attorney

Ballard City is accepting sealed proposals from qualified attorneys or law firms to provide City Attorney services.

RFP Schedule:

  • RFP Available: August 3, 2026
  • Proposal Submission Deadline: August 17, 2026 no later than  5:00 p.m.
  • RFP Opening: August 18, 2026 during the regularly scheduled Ballard City Council meeting
  • Award Decision: September 1, 2026 during the regularly scheduled Ballard City Council meeting

Proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 17. Late submissions will NOT be considered.

All proposals received by the deadline will be publicly opened on August 18, 2026 during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting. Ballard City will evaluate proposals based on the criteria outlined in the RFP and anticipates selecting the successful proposer during its regularly scheduled City Council meeting on September 1, 2026.

Ballard City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities in the proposal process when it is determined to be in the best interest of the City.
